Our Physical Therapy Process

Evaluation
The first appointment you will have at Orchard Park Physical Therapy is a through evaluation.
This typically involves going over in detail your medical history, a physical examination, and if necessary diagnostic tests. The goal is to get a comprehensive understanding of your individual condition.

Diagnosis
Determination the cause of your limitations and/or pain. This will be based on your history and our expert testing.

Treatment
During your treatment at our office we apply specialized techniques aimed at achieving the goals set during the evaluation and diagnosis stages.
Those techniques may be exercise regimes designed to increase strength and flexibility, manual techniques to mobilize joints or ease soft tissue, or other modalities like hot and cold therapy, electrical stimulation, or ultrasound.

Education
Physical therapists also teach you
how to prevent future injuries and manage the pain that you’re experiencing due to your
individual condition.
This might include home
exercises, instruction on how to
use assistive devices and
possible lifestyle changes.
